New child

This is what my kid has been doing most of the day for the past few weeks.
I promise I dress him...this was before a diaper change
Someone told me weeks 6-12 are the hardest and I would have to agree.  Between his tummy issues, not napping and his constant need to be held we spent a lot of time in the rocking chair and driving around town.  He seems to like the car and the stroller, but aimlessly driving around ain't cheap with these gas prices, plus it always ends up with me driving through Sonic or Chick-fil-A.

We had some gifts cards left to Babies R Us so my mom and I went last week to complete our registry. We had been using the swing my sister leant to us, but Baby Boy was having NONE of it.  I went back and forth about spending money for a different swing in hopes that he would like something different, and ended up with plenty of gift cards that I could cover a new swing.

Meet my new child.

He is in the Fisher Price My Little Snug-a-Bunny swing and it has changed our lives.  It actually is probably a combo of his new medication + swing + getting past his rough weeks but he is so content and happy now!! I've been able to do stuff around the house with TWO HANDS while he just swings away.  Oh, the joy! He naps between most of his feedings now, which was rarely happening a few days ago.  And a lot of the time he will sit in it awake and just hang out.  LOVE IT!

And you should know he is sleeping in his swing as I type this.  :)

I am right there with you! My doctor told me by 2 months they should be crying less. I just laughed! It has been rough. What seems to work is carrying him through the house and turning all the lights on and off. He is so amazed by lights and fans but it puts mama's arm to sleep! He LOVED his swing for the first 2 weeks then woke up one day and HATED it. His swing now holds toys and blankets. lol

LOVE that swing!! It is the BEST, Brynna would stay in it all day if we let her. She has even started to notice that there is a mirror about her and she will look up and smile at herself! =)

Glad he is feeling better!

Hopefully this will make you feel better: my pedi said that fussiness peaks at 6 weeks and then starts to taper off until 12 weeks. Cooper just turned 8 weeks, so I'm glad we are now on the downhill slope. :)
