Can you believe it? All at once it feels like yesterday that Matt was working 100+ hour weeks and yet, so long ago. So much has happened since last football season; it's fun to think about what this football season will be like. I can't wait to show Carter what Daddy does for a living! I find myself daydreaming (you know, while I'm rocking that baby) about Carter in a few years trailing after Matt at practice, hanging out with the coaches at the field house, and cheering at football games. We are truly going to have so much fun with him!
While I am really excited for this time of year it's also very bittersweet. We've been very spoiled with Daddy time this summer and that all comes to an end today. No more lunches together, no more free weekends, no more dinners with the 3 of us. They have meetings this week and 2-a-days start next week so we are basically saying goodbye to Dad until December (hopefully!)
Fortunately we have some great cousins and grandparents around to help fill our days and weekends with plenty of family time. And with my new schedule we will be able to sneak up to school during lunch or before video to steal some Daddy time!
Now, let's go Tigers!
