All I Want For Christmas...

...is a STATE CHAMPIONSHIP!!

For the second year in a row we will be playing the Cedar Hill Longhorns for the state title! After 15 long (looooooong, very long) weeks we are headed back to state!! I'm so proud of Matt, the staff, and our kids for everything they have done to get back to the finals this year.  The kids at Katy work so hard for so long, and it makes the late nights and lonely weekends just a little bit better when you can end the season at state.

2013 Playoffs:
Katy 70 - Madison 0
Katy 51 - Cy Woods 7
Katy 56 - Elkins 26
Katy 56 - Manvel 14
Katy 52 - SA Johnson 0

Some of those scores may look like we won big (with two shut-outs...way to go, defense!) but some of those games were pretty close.  A lot of those points were scored in the fourth quarter and during the Elkins game we were even behind.  Thankfully all the games ended up in the favor of our Tigers.

The game this week is Saturday at 8pm at Cowboys Stadium in Dallas.  We will be driving up Saturday morning with PawPaw and Nana with a short stop in Midlothian to visit with Emily.  Then on Sunday we will head straight to Papa and Granny's so we will also have all of our stuff for Christmas.  I've already started working on my packing list and making arrangements for Cooper.  It's stressful, but I wouldn't have it any other way.  :)

Go Katy! Beat Cedar Hill!
