Christmas with the Carter's

Christmas morning, after presents from Santa were opened, we got dressed (Matt and I did, Carter stayed in his jammers) and headed over to my parents house for brunch and more presents.  Brooks and Carter had on their coordinating pajamas from Mrs. Neil, even though they also had matching Christmas outfits Mama K had bought for them.  They had both worn their smocked outfits to church the night before, so we decided it was okay to let them stay in their jammers for Christmas morning.

My mom always make a delicious spread on Christmas morning with lots of sugary goodness to go around.  Carter, per usual, wouldn't touch anything but a few Cheerios.  Come on, son! One day you will learn what good food is!

While the rest of us were finishing up brunch Carter and Brooks played with all of her new toys.  Santa brought her a piano, a tricycle, an easel (which she actually got last year), a skateboard, and a Doc McStuffins doctor kit.  Carter loved the tricycle and was content to just sit on the trike with his feet propped up all day.

We tried our best to get a good picture of Carter and Brooxie Kate together...you can see how that went.

These are their outfits Mama K bought them for Christmas.  We took these pictures a few days later and the photo shoot went a little better than the one on Christmas.

Because our favorite thing is making sure our belly button hasn't disappeared.

Again we opened presents and Carter was much more interested in playing with all of the toys (mainly Brooks' doctor kit) than actually opening any presents.  Carter was, again, spoiled rotten and received several of his new favorite toy...books!  I got a new planner and a Clarasonic Mia.  Matt received some gift cards (that's all he ever asks for) and some Duck Dynasty clothes.  Again, he took his sweet time opening up everything with that dang pocket knife.

We made it home just in time for naps (all around) and spent the rest of the day resting and playing with all of our new toys.
