Christmas in Louisiana

Matt's extended family lives in Louisiana so on Thursday we packed up the car, kissed Cooper goodbye and headed east to Pine Prairie where Granny and Poppa live.  On the way there we caught up on our new favorite show, How I Met Your Mother.  So good!

Since it was before the weekend we had plenty of time to just relax, bake/eat, and visit.  We saw Heather and Emmy and Uncle Scott, but missed most of the rest of the family.

Again, Mason was the BEST baby, laughing and playing the whole time.  It was fun to talk pregnancy/baby stuff with Steph and get some mommy tips.  And, of course, we had a blast opening presents with Mader again!

Saturday we headed to Oakdale to see Mrs. Diana's family and I never took my camera out of the car.  I'm hoping Stephanie will post some pics because I can't figure out how to steal her photos from Kodak gallery.  :)

Again, we ate (the BEST chili always comes at Christmas) and opened presents. It was good to see everyone because we don't get to see that side of the family altogether except at Christmas and Matt and I weren't there last year.  We were still missing some people this year (love you, JoJo!), but it was still CRAZY loud and fun!
