Madeline and Molly

Today I'm participating in the Multiple Birth Awareness Month blog link-up over on Twin Talk Blog.  

For those of you visiting from the blog link-up, we are the proud parents of an almost two-year-old little boy, Carter, and two-month old twins, Madeline and Molly.  It's a crazy life but we love it! 

Matt and I met going into high school and have sweethearts ever since.  We married in 2008, built a house and moved in with our first baby, a Border Collie/Bassett Hound mix named Cooper.  Matt coaches football and teaches history and I spent six years teaching junior high math.  I now stay home with our kiddos. 

Carter is our little spitfire, always into everything and loves making a mess.  I spent 13 weeks on bed rest with him after cervix and preterm labor issues.  He was born 5 weeks early after I developed HELLP Syndrome, and was perfect.  He is 100% BOY and loves all things tractors, dirt, and football.  He is an anomaly with his blond hair and blue eyes...recessive genes at their finest! His favorites are playing outside, bubbles, and riding the tractor/ lawn mower/ 4-wheeler.  

Madeline and Molly joined us in February, 2 months before their due date.  They spent 35 and 36 days in the NICU, respectively and have now been home with us almost a month.  They are the sweetest, calmest, easiest babies I've ever met.  They both enjoy sleeping, being held, swinging in their swings, and an occasional paci.  Big brother loves to hold and love on them, but only for short periods of time before he is onto something else.  

We are still transitioning, but we love being a family of five and think our family is complete.  We are very fortunate to live within 10 minutes of all of our families, so we have lots of help and lots of people to love on our babies.  So far our kids have 3 immediate cousins with, hopefully, lots more to come.
