Carter's First Halloween

Does anyone else sing the "H-A-double L-O-W-double E-N" song when you type the word Halloween??

A long time ago in a land far, far away (haha, jk!) Matt told me he wanted his kids to be Star Wars characters for Halloween.  I think we were still dating at the time, maybe engaged.  When he has been home in years past the kids who came to our house in SW costumes always were given handfulls of candy.  So once Carter was born we ordered his Yoda costume...in July.  We've had the costume almost as long as we've had Carter, lol! And he was the CUTEST little Jedi Master, don't you think?

We had a fun but overwhelmed little Yoda Wednesday night.  We started over at Aunt Stephie's and between all the people and noise Carter was a little fuss-pot.  We cheered up for a little while when Daddy got home from work early (!) but it didn't last too long.  It worked out though because we were able to come home and hand out candy at our house.  Carter took a little snooze inside with Mama K while Laura, Matt and I took Brooks around to a few houses.

Willie Robertson was there :)

Brooks was so cute- at first she was scared to leave our driveway but once we walked to the neighbors house with her she ran right past the candy in the driveway so she could ring the doorbell, lol! Silly girl!  At the next house she ran into their garage but I think she finally got the hang of it by the third house we went to.

Some of my former students :)

Here she is going to Sophie's AKA Sara'a house.  I think we got several pieces of candy here :)

And just for giggles, here is a picture from Halloween last year.  Matt and I knew we were pregnant but we had not told ANYONE.  It was fun keeping the secret knowing that such a fun, family holiday would be very different the next year.  It's so true, holidays are so much better with kids!
