Christmas Eve

Still playing catch-up...

After winning state and driving home from Midlothian on Sunday, Matt and I turned around and hosted  my family at our house for Christmas Eve on Monday.  In anticipation of being out of town the weekend before Christmas Eve, we went ahead and ordered dinner from Good Ole Boys so we didn't have to worry about grocery shopping and cooking.  I think this is what we will do from now on for holidays because it was so easy and SO GOOD.  :)  We had fried turkey, honey ham, mashed potatoes, broccoli rice casserole, sweet potato casserole (provided by Auntie Carol), mac-n-cheese and rolls.  Yum!

Laura and I ordered these precious outfits for B and C for Christmas.  Carter's ended up being too big (hopefully we can pull it off for V-day?) but we did manage to snap some cute pics of them together in their outfits.  I love the one of Carter kissing Brooks! That's some serious cuteness going on in these pictures! So, so thankful for these sweet babies.

Our best gift we could have ever received

We went to the early Christmas Eve service at our church where we met up with the Eckhardts.  Afterwards we came back home to a TON of desserts, my favorite!! I pigged out on a least a dozen cookies. :) We took our annual sofa picture- we're going to need a bigger sofa soon!  Todd proposed to his girlfriend, Grace, the day before so our picture next Christmas will look a little different! Congrats to Todd and Grace!

We were able to hop over to Sara's to see the McDaniel side for a little while (the perks to sharing a fence!) I didn't get a single picture of precious Mason but he was loving his new Melissa and Doug food toy while we were there.  And how cute are Sara and Randy?!?

We're going through a bit of a biting phase...

Afterwards we did presents and Brooks and Carter were spoiled rotten! It was so fun to have these two babies to love on and spoil.  Brooks is at such a cute age and it's a hoot to watch her open presents and marvel at her new goodies.  If I had the money I would just buy and buy and buy for those two babies just to see the pure joy in their eyes when they received a present.  :)
Mom opening up her gift from us...tickets to George Strait! Only they sold out before we could snag any :(

We ended the night putting cookies out for Santa and reading the Christmas story to Carter.
