Yes, you read that right, Washington. Katy started a tradition last year of playing one out of state team during non-district. You may remember we played Cy Bay, FL last year. Well, Cy Bay did not want to come back to Katy this year (can you blame them?) so we picked up a team from Washington, Bellvue High School. They are a Washington powerhouse football team, having won state 6 out of the last 8 years and knocking off top teams like DeLaSalle, CA and Long Beach Poly, CA.
Bellvue came to Katy ready to play, and what do you know, we send them right back to Washington with a good, ole’ fashioned butt whoopin! Katy won 35-17!
