Katy vs Taylor
When Matt and I were in high school the Katy vs Taylor game was our biggest game of the year. Now, with 6 high schools in the district and the rise of the Cougars our biggest game has changed to Cinco Ranch.
We had beautiful weather today and a very special guest. Doesn’t she just melt your heart?!?
The Texas Attorney General, Greg Abbott, came for the coin toss.
Katy played AWESOME and came away with the win 56-14! Tigers are 9-0!!! Next week is the BIG GAME against Cinco Ranch for the District Championship.
This is the Best.Sign.Ever.
How cute is our little pumpkin???
Coach McDaniel’s biggest fan!

Pumpkin carving
Matt and I haven’t had a date night in sooooooooo long but were able to sneak away tonight together. We had planned to have dinner together (something we rarely get to do this time of year) but I got stuck at the Apple store and we ended up eating apart.
When I got home we decided to carve pumpkins! I never really get into Halloween but Matt had been requesting some pumpkins for awhile so we decided it would be a fun “date!”
Matt had the main job of opening and coring
I worked on the artwork
And Cooper helped us clean up anything we dropped on the floor
Matt also decided to go all Betty Crocker on me and bake some pumpkin seeds
What do you think of our finished product? Pretty good, eh?

October 15th
I don’t have many words for this, but I just wanted to share with you that today is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. For more information visit www.october15.com Will you please light a candle in remembrance of all the babies that are lost everyday all over the world?
"These are my footprints,
so perfect and so small.
These tiny footprints
never touched the ground at all.
Not one tiny footprint,
for now I have wings.
These tiny footprints were meant
for other things.
You will hear my tiny footprints,
in the patter of the rain.
Gentle drops like angel's tears,
of joy and not from pain.
You will see my tiny footprints,
in each butterflies' lazy dance.
I'll let you know I'm with you,
if you just give me the chance.
You will see my tiny footprints,
in the rustle of the leaves.
I will whisper names into the wind,
and call each one that grieves.
Most of all, these tiny footprints,
are found on Mommy and Daddy's hearts.
'Cause even though I'm gone now,
We'll never truly part."

Hello Fall, nice to see you again
I can’t believe just a few weeks ago I posted this post, and now today while driving to work I see this:
What a difference a few weeks can make in Texas! I’m sure next week it will be back into the 90’s ;)
I had to change up the layout to adjust to our new season and temps here. You like?

Hope
I saw this over at Kelly’s Korner and it really spoke to me and I had to share.
We also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. Romans 5:3-5
Happy Monday!
